Doris is going south to her cousin's home for the winter. We bought her train ticket today.

Doris went to the hospital today. She got clothes, lunch, a bath, a nap in a bed, medicine, and the social worker gave her $5. When she got back to Penn Station, the nice policemen checked up on her to see if she was okay.

Doris turns 75 today.

finding Goodness everywhere:
The free breakfast at the hotel ends at 11am but the nice man bent the rules when Doris arrived late. He fixed her whatever she wanted (corn flakes, peaches, and tea) and even did her dishes for her.

dinner request:
Ribs, french fries, and a Three Musketeers bar.

finding Goodness everywhere:
The old homeless lady (Doris) told me that the Danish tourists - down the hall at the hotel - raided the kitchen and invited her to join them for a late night snack. She was delighted like I've never seen her.

Doris got lost trying to remember where the hotel was. A woman at a nearby store called the hotel, got directions, and escorted her 25 blocks on the bus to get her safely back. Oh, what kindness.
